Rebecca McSweeney is an experienced litigation attorney practicing in the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

 

Ms. McSweeney has more than 20 years of litigation experience, including employment, insurance and tort litigation, defending more than 100 jury trials. She has handled matters before state administrative agencies and has screened various appeals for the Rhode Island Supreme Court. She has also acted as an arbitrator in disputes pending before the Rhode Island Superior Court, and has represented clients in a myriad of bench trials, arbitrations and mediations.

 

Ms. McSweeney has been recognized as a recipient of Allstate National Trial Awards for five consecutive years. She has spoken before various business and employer associations including the Newport Chamber of Commerce and the Defense Counsel of Rhode Island.

 

Ms. McSweeney is a member of the Rhode Island, Federal Court and American bar associations, and is admitted to practice in the Federal Court for the District of Rhode Island, and all Rhode Island and Massachusetts state courts.

 

Becky received her B.A. in Political Economics, cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, and her J.D. from Northeastern University. After law school she clerked for the Appellate Screening Unit of the Rhode Island Supreme Court before joining Allstate Insurance Company. Becky also managed litigation exclusively for a Fortune 300 company while employed by Legal Management Services, immediately before joining Jackson Lewis, a management side labor and employment firm. Additionally, she worked at Lifespan in defense of medical malpractice and premises liability claims.
