Faith has specialized in civil litigation in the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts for over 30 years, handling product liability, personal injury, insurance coverage, insurance fraud, premise liability, bad faith and extra-contractual liability, commercial/contract and employment litigation.

 

With extensive state and federal court experience in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, Faith has handled numerous jury and non-jury trials in both jurisdictions and has participated in various forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, including mediations, arbitrations and settlement conferences as attorney, mediator and arbitrator.  Before entering private practice, she was an Assistant Attorney General in the Rhode Island Attorney General's office, concentrating on defending state agencies and departments in civil litigation, and has served as Director of the Public Protection Unit.  She was also an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Providence, defending municipal agencies and employees. She has briefed and argued over 15 appellate cases before the Rhode Island Supreme Court  and the U.S. Court of Appeals, First Circuit. In 2018, Faith was named as a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers, New England. This distinction is conferred upon less than five percent of all attorneys in the state.

 

Faith has lectured at continuing legal education programs and taught fellows lawyers in the areas of insurance coverage, trial tactics and skills, handling personal injury cases, bad faith, women lawyering, and effective use and presentation of scientific and technical evidence.

Born in Warwick, Rhode Island, Faith graduated from Villanova University Law School and magna cum laude from Brown University undergrad, Phi Beta Kappa. 

 

Faith is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, and a past President of the Brown Club of Rhode Island. She is a recent past President of the Rhode Island Defense Counsel, the state's association for defense lawyers. Faith has been actively involved in state public service in state appointed positions, serving as the Chairperson of the former Rhode Island Higher Education Assistance Authority and as a board member of the Rhode Island Securities Investment Commission, the public entity that oversees the investments for the Collegebound 529 plan and the state pension fund. Additionally, she has devoted her time to community service in the area of education, as a board member for a local Catholic high school, Bishop Hendricken, and the Rhode Island Academic Decathlon.
